Dr. Chloe Xu, the “gentle dentist,” offers exceptional care in Calgary after earning her DDS with Distinction from the University of Toronto. She stays current with the latest dental advancements, including digital dentistry, same-day restorations, Invisalign, and laser-assisted treatments. Dr. Xu builds lasting relationships with patients, providing personalized care at Chinook Smiles Dental. A proud new mom, she’s excited to return to dentistry after a brief hiatus.

Dr. Lisa Mallett took over Dr. Murray Knechtel’s practice at Chinook Smiles Dental in 2015. A graduate of the University of Alberta, she is committed to high-quality, compassionate care for all ages. With years of experience, including owning her practice, Dr. Mallett specializes in cosmetic and sedation dentistry, helping anxious patients achieve their ideal smiles. Known for her friendly, down-to-earth personality, she is particularly great with children. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys skiing and traveling with her five children and husband.

Dr. Richard Palmer, a native Albertan, has been practicing dentistry in Calgary for 30 years. He holds a B.Sc., D.D.S., and a medical degree from the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary. Specializing in endodontic treatments, Dr. Palmer’s patients appreciate his expertise and care. Before becoming a dentist, he worked as a garbage man and a 'jug hound' in the high Arctic. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys cooking and sharing new recipes with his wife and five children. Dr. Palmer is excited to help patients achieve their dental health goals at Chinook Smiles.
